Q: What are the benefits of massage therapy?

A: Massage therapy provides many physical and mental health benefits. It helps reduce muscle tension and pain, improves circulation, and promotes relaxation by lowering stress levels. Many of our clients find that consistent massage therapy helps them feel healthier, less stressed, and more balanced overall.

Q: Do we do real deep tissue massage?

A: Yes, we provide real deep tissue massage

Q: Are massages painful?

A: Massages can be painful, but at Maximus, we work with everyone's pain tolerances and limits. Pain can sometimes be necessary to treat problems. 

Q: What can I expect from my first appointment if I haven't had a massage in a while?

A: If you haven't received massage therapy in a while, we like to address your largest issues and get you set up for restoring and repairing your body. The first massage is the first step on your journey of self-care and will be unlike any massage that follows as we get the body back to its natural balance.

Q: Is Maximus Self-Care & Massage a spa?

A: We are not a spa and don't offer traditional spa services other than massage. While traditional spa massage focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation, our massage focuses on pain relief, rehabilitation, and improving physical function. 

Q: How often should I get a massage?

A: It is all dependent on you, and how your body functions. We recommend everyone to come in at least once per month. Most clients come in biweekly.

Q: Are we LGBTQ safe?

A: Absolutely, we welcome all clients!

Q: Do we currently have any female massage therapists?

A: Not at this time, we are currently in the process of looking for another massage therapist.

Q: Do we offer couples massages?

A: Not at this time, we are currently in the process of looking for another massage therapist.

Q: Do we accept insurance?

A: Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. However, we do offer super billing for self-reimbursement.
